The script has gained widespread popularity due to its simple yet elegant style and easy implementation.

Lightbox uses the Prototype Javascript Framework and script.aculo.us for itsanimations and positioning.

Slimbox is a 7kb visual clone of the popular Lightbox JS v2.0 by Lokesh Dhakar, written using the ultra compact mootools framework.

Not much different from other lightbox but this is a good lightbox and easy to setup too.
