Dreamweaver Tip – Point To File
Actually this is just another way to create a hyperlink. This little circle icon is “point to file” icon, it was designed for creating hyperlinks in dreamweaver faster.
Just create a hyperlink text, then click on a point to file icon and drag your pointer to a file at a side panel for making a link to file or an image.

1. Hi-light text or image that you want to create a hyperlink.
2. Drag “point to file” icon to a file or an image you want to link.

I am a newbie when it comes to using Dreamweaver 8. I have upgraded to vs 8.0.2 and I can not get the “point to file” function to work. I have used this function before, but can’t seem to get it to work now? Is there a problem with 8.0.2 with this function. I have googled everything but I can’t seem to find any help. I highlight the file in the files tab on the right side, then I click and hold on the “point to file” icon and pull to my desired file on the right side and release…..and nothing happens. What am I donig wrong??
