You can skip all this work and have photoshop do all this for you by selecting “CSS” in output settings, when you do “save for web…” even in CS3 Extended!

Hand coded markup is more efficient rather than you rely on Photoshop

If you’re not up to coding yourself, you could just go with an xHTML/CSS coding service.
