Google chrome is now my favorite web browser and I found this useful extension for chrome to make it more powerful.

TooManyTabs for Chrome is a nice extension for Google Chrome browser. If you surf the webs and opened tab more than 10-20 tabs at a time like me and you can’t see tab title. TooManyTabs a has function to explore all open tabs to make it easy to switch tab. You can see all the feature in the list below.

Make a Cool Progress Bar Style in Firefox

If you ever used Safari version 3, you may see the cool progress bar that combined with the address bar. When you browse the web, you will see the loading progress in the address bar.

If you’re a FireFox user you can have the progress bar like that too. With Fission, a plugin that combine the address bar and loading progress bar into one.

Fission combines address bar and progress bar (Safari style). This makes the progress bar more visible and allows for a nice visual effect.

Chrome has a really great user interface, the one that I like the most is it’s search bar that combined in the address bar.

Actually the address bar of FireFox can also use as search too, but it works as “I’m feeling lucky” that takes you directly to the first webpage that returns for your query.

If you want to combine the search box and the address bar of FireFox into one like Google Chorme, there’s a plugin for that. Omnibar is a plugin for FireFox that can help you integrates Location bar and Search bar into one like Google Chrome.

Clean Your CSS Code with Dust-Me Selectors

This is another useful firefox plugin for web developers. Dust-Me Selectors is a Firefox extension that finds unused CSS selectors in your code.

It extracts all the selectors from all the stylesheets on the page you’re viewing, then analyzes that page to see which of those selectors are not used. The data is then stored so that when testing subsequent pages, selectors can be crossed off the list as they’re encountered.

You can test pages individually, or spider an entire site, and you’ll end up with a profile of which selectors are not used anywhere. This is a free plugin, download and try it by yourself.

IETester, Browsershots and Adobe Browserlab offer you tools for checking your web design in multiple version of Internet Explorer, but Adobe Browserlab and Browsershots offer more options to let you test your web design. On Adobe Browserlab, you can test you design in Internet Explorer (Version 6, 7, 8), Safari on Mac, Firefox version on a PC and a Mac OSX.

W3C Tools for Validate CSS, HTML, dead link checker and mobile compatibility are also great to test your website or blog for errors and also HTML Tidy help clean you code for legible.

This is a nice little tip that helps firefox loads faster. I found this tip on lifehacker. Firefox is my main web browser, it’s awesome with its useful add-ons.

By default, Firefox keeps your history for at least 90 days, but you can limit history size of Firefox to make it load faster, you can change it by go to Preferences -> Privacy -> History and turn the dial down to a more reasonable 5-10 days. You can apply this tip to Firefox for Windows, for Mac and for Linux.

I have tried it and it works!, I can see when I start up Firefox, it’s load faster than usual.
